Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Kolkata
Event - Blood Donation Camp
Date - 4th November 2022
Venue - Vivekananda Sangha Club, Makhla
Param
Foundation
is
growing,
and
is
thus,
extending
its
reach
gradually
to
influence
lives
in
various
parts
of
India
besides
Assam.
As
part
of
the
initiative,
a
Blood
Donation
Camp
was
organized
at
the
premises
of
Makhla
Vivekananda
Sangh,
Uttarpara
under
District
Hooghly
of West Bengal.
A
total
of
40
persons
volunteered
among
whom
only
21
qualified
as
fit-to-donate.
The
best
part
about
this
camp
was
wide-miking
and
house
to
house
awareness
drive
prior
to
the
event.
Although
it
was
difficult
to
convince
the
general
populace
to
donate
blood,
awareness
campaign associated with this exercise has made a huge impact in the area.
The
Blood
Donation
initiative
became
a
talk
of
the
town.
There
were
many
that
expressed
regret
in
missing
the
event,
but
pledged
to
participate the next time. It is expected that there will be more active participation in the next blood donation camp in this area.
The
key
takeaway
from
this
endeavor
is
the
level
of
awareness
raised
among
the
locals,
formation
of
a
strong
local
Param
Team
and
discussions
initiated
regarding
identification
of
problematic
areas
along
with
the
core
issues
faced
by
the
residents
there,
and
possible
solutions that can ease their conditions. Good days ahead!
